Each child grows and learns at this or her own individual rate of development. Although children may accomplish certain tasks sooner or later than others, there is a range of what is considered normal development. If a child fails to develop certain skills, they may be unable to reach their full potential.

Parents and physicians can work together as partners to help child grow healthy and strong.
